We all deal with stress on a daily basis, though we all have different issues that hold different levels of severity.In today’s society, stress and depression can be often confused. Yet it is stress that is a physiological and psychological response to situations the mind and body struggles to comprehend and finds challenging.

As stress is a spectrum, we often ask ourselves how we should manage stress, a great way to find what works for you is to try different relaxation and re-balancing methods that help you  implement them in your life.

Throughout my life I’ve experienced overwhelming stress many times and have found a handful of things that genuinely help me.

Start  these today to reduce and manage stress!

  1. Reading

Reading is one of the greatest and most well researched ways of natural stress reduction. Pick up some fiction and get transported to a world that you create in your own mind using your mental power.

  1. Walking

Waling is a low impact exercise that is one that I keep coming back to, no matter how busy life gets! Going for a walk in nature has got to be one of life’s most precious joys. Make some time for walking and double if you can do it in nature, and your body and mind will thank you.

  1. Socializing

Socializing is vital to our life! Though, it must be stressed that the people we socialize with make all the difference. You are who your circle is, so keep that in mind when living out a fulfilling social life.

  1. Music

Music can be a great outlet of creativity for artists in many ways. Dancing to the beat of a song provides the same benefits as exercise, and as it is a low to moderate form of physical activity, you can safely improve coordination and cardio while having fun.

5. Meditation

Meditation is an age old form of focus that has immense effects on every aspect of your life. Just as with all of these points, meditation rewires your brain the more you do it, and lowers bio-markers of stress indicated in metabolism such as blood sugar, blood pressure, heart rate. Etc.
